The GEM8 / GEM10 feature a CREE XP-L Hi V3 LED that emits an extremely bright beam with excellent penetration that is ideal for identifying texture, technique, flaws and cracks in precious stones. 
GEM8 = 500 Lumens , GEM10 = 800 Lumens 
With their excellent penetration, GEM8 / GEM10 are ideal for searching and identifying foreign bodies (dirt) in jade.  
 
The use of UV light with a frequency of 365nm is ideal for identifying diamonds, confirming their authenticity, checking for fluorescence and more.  
With UV light, organic and inorganic gemstones can be identified. 
For example, under UV light amber fluoresces, diamonds fluoresce blue, natural jade appears transparent when it has no injectable glue.  
 
All models have a rotary switch to select the appropriate brightness. This type of switch offers infinitely variable intensity from very low to very high brightness. Easy to adjust even with gloves. They are powered by one 18650 rechargeable battery or two CR123 / RCR123 batteries. They have a patent for their clever design. The nose is specially designed not to injure the precious stones during the inspection. 
The GEM8 / GEM8UV models are specially designed for the inspection of small size precious stones such as jade beads, diamond rings, crystal beads, etc. 
The GEM10 / GEM10UV models are straight for rough gemstones. A built-in tape measure helps measure the stones. 
Their lighting is controlled by a high-performance electronic circuit so that it is stable without flickering. 
They are made of high quality aluminum alloy with a hard anodized finish. The hardened mineral crystal of the lenses has an anti-reflective coating. 
They are also waterproof according to the IPX8 standard (Resistance up to 2 meters under water).
